FULL STORY
The Pator's Pen - The Shack
The first time I heard about The Shack was almost two years ago when my best friend from high school called me up. He told me that "I just had to read it! Since then I received numerous testimonies good and bad. The New York Times best-seller has elicited a considerable amount of review drawing both ire and praise.

The book tells the story of "Mack" Phillips' journey to make peace with God a few years after the brutal murder of his daughter which he calls The Great Sadness. Clearly this is a great opportunity to explain how someone could find their way to experience the love of God in the midst of their own struggle with an unspeakable pain. The problem is that Mr. Young presents a different view of god and a different path to him.
